+1 Upgrade Per Kill: Launch Week
Four days after launch, the game had a working loop and no codes. The first string arrived in October.
The loop in one line
Every kill grants an upgrade, chosen from a small pool. Twenty minutes in, a build either compounds or collapses, and the difference is usually which upgrades you took in the first five.
That design is why the meta layer matters. Emeralds let you start the next run with something already upgraded, which shortens the fragile opening.
What launch week showed
A game balanced around snowballing: strong if you pick well early, punishing if you do not. Codes did not appear until the player count justified them, which is the normal order.
What came next
WELCOME in October, paying emeralds and a crate, then block pvp on Den alone. Two strings in five weeks is a slow start, but the first one is the one that matters — it is permanent currency.
Redeem in 30 seconds
- 1Enter the lobby rather than a run; the shop is not open mid-wave.
- 2Open the shop and find the codes button under the upgrade list.
- 3Paste one string and confirm; WELCOME is all caps.
